Adventures with Jenny: #theNewAllen & the West Village

Another day, another adventure with Jenny. This time we explored the West Village and came across some beatiful backdrops, installations, and general signage. While I – admittedly – have not explored all of Manhattan, the West Village is one of my favorite neighborhoods. It’s full of cute, small shops and cafes. There are also hidden-away, beautiful cobblestone streets.

Earlier in the week, Jenny had found an awesome street installation piece she knew would be perfect for this photo adventure and boy was she right. After taking some of my favorite photos from this series I ended up googling “#thenewallen”. The New Allen is an art collective dedicated to featuring installations across the city:

“We’re passionate about the visual arts and are always looking to showcase exciting, new work in our space and on our street. Created by Franco Noriega and Milan Kelez, THE NEW ALLEN is BABY BRASA’s art foundation that unites a collective of graffiti artists and muralist that are transforming Allen Street into the city’s premiere street art gallery.” -The New Allen

The artist of the piece you see featured in these stills (I Feel You Baby) is Baron Von Fancy, you can also checkout his instagram. We really loved the colors and the vibe, and got some great motion shots in front of this piece. You can also see how other people have enjoyed this series of installations.

I can’t wait to see more of these installations in person – and you should too!

What’s your favorite graffiti installation? And where is it?
