Featured Friend Friday presents . . . Christie Liberatore

I got to know Christie during the Sticks + Stones: Berlin Project where she was an integral part in the creation and design of one of my favorite pieces from the exhibition.

Christie’s work whether it be graphic or fine art never loses the excellent aspect of her hand work. She makes excellent use of line and representing shapes in an organic and delicate yet also visceral way.

Another part that I love and envy in Christie’s work is how you can always see her hand in her designs. Whether she is literally utilizing her excellent handwork in her design piece or pulling in the curvature wires in a 3D design piece. As any artist/designer can tell you, it isn’t always easy to design expressively in a functional way – but Christie seems to have no problems on that front.

Her portfolio highlights her full and vibrant paintings, her organic and moving prints, and her clean but expressive design.
