Adventures with Jenny: Charleston, South Carolina

Well, since October has decided to be a summer weather month, I’ll pay homage to the best humid place I know: Charleston, South Carolina. When Jenny and I visited the low country this summer, we had one of our best photo frolics (and we’ve had some amazing shoots.) It’s impossible not to have good photos in a city full of colonial charm and palm trees.

Kristina and Mom helped us along the way by styling Jenny’s hair or helping us scope out good locations along Rainbow Row. Although – to be fair – is there a bad location on Rainbow Row? We started out by walking along the boardwalk and through the cobblestoned, city streets. We meandered our way to Rainbow Row with all of it’s beautifully painted walls from bright pink to white wash. Honestly, we couldn’t stop taking photos here – much like everyone on instagram.

After a long day – in the hot, humid sun of the low country – we settled down at Amen Street for some raw oysters and shrimp & grits. Not a bad way to spend a summer day, eh?

Have you been to Charleston? What are your favorite local spots?
