Wanderlust: Cork, Ireland

Our stop in Cork was just a few hours long, but what a beautiful, historic city.  We walked through the center of town and explored the English Market Cork, which is known for being Ireland’s most famous covered market.

The English Market Cork actually reminded me of Reading Terminal Market in Philadelphia with it’s many and varied stalls. From bakers and grocers to butchers and fishmongers, there really wasn’t a single food you couldn’t find in this market. And what a fun place to walk around and explore with a camera.

We also walked by several historic statues and plaques and I know if we had more time we would have taken a tour, because there’s just so many stories to hear and histories to learn in Ireland. But alas, we’ll just have to go back someday.
