Wanderlust: The Cliffs of Moher

As Spring slowly eeks it’s way past a lingering winter, I can’t help but reminisce about my time in Ireland last summer. One of my favorites stops along our journey was to the Cliffs of Moher, or for any Princess Bride fans out there: “The Cliffs of Insanity!

Like the Grand Canyon, these cliffs truly can’t be captured simply in a photograph. You have to experience them. Through stop and start rain and a fierce wind we stared out over the ocean while standing beside the edge of Ireland. It’s in places like this that you can feel the immense history beneath your feet.

My favorite part of this trip, and especially after looking back at my photographs, is that I got to share this experience with my family. My sister’s and I have Irish heritage, so we loved exploring a place where part of our family history came from. I also loved seeing my nephew explore and react to so many new adventures. And I can’t wait until we travel together again!
