Adventures with Jenny: Atrium and Archway, Dumbo

Weekends are for adventures. Jenny and I have only just begun to explore the plethora of adventure options in Brooklyn. There’s always something to do or see in Dumbo. For those who don’t know, Dumbo is an abbreviation for “down under the Manhattan Bridge overpass.” Historically it was home to the ferry landings and primarily acted as a manufacturing district.

Now, DUMBO is a center for arts, technology, and culture in the Brooklyn borough. On any given day you can see salsa dancing at the Archway, walk through some galleries, visit the Brooklyn Historical Society, grab some brunch at Atrium and window shop through the flea market.

When you have the opportunity, make time to visit Dumbo and don’t rush yourself. Meander through the cobblestone streets and take the opportunity to enjoy the sights, sounds and tastes of this historic area.

What’s your favorite part of Dumbo? Favorite spot? Let me know!
