This coming week I’ll be posting photographs from my photo shoot for United By Blue.
In my previous position as United By Blue’s Creative Director, it was my job to keep the brand’s marketing visuals fresh and interesting while still continuing to deepen the viewers experience with the brand. Each season we would do two to three photo shoots and these images would produce marketing materials for web and print media.
This specific photo shoot was to showcase the Summer 2013 looks, which featured graphic tees and organic canvas and leather bags. It was important to emphasize the viewers understanding that United By Blue’s brand is linked to the water, constantly. In that regard we shot on a pier, tug boat, and boardwalk. UBB’s graphics are distressed and have a hand-painted feel for the Summer 2013 season, so we chose a location that embraced those same sun-cracked, worn, and well loved aspects.
