Hidden Gems: Reading Viaduct

Some of the worst kept secrets in this city make for the best experiences.

A few weeks back I was hired for a an engagement shoot, but the couple had to reschedule so I was left with an open morning and the urge to go out and photograph. Full of excitement, I reached out to my amazingly talented friend, Abbe, and invited her on a “shoot the city” date.

She suggested the Reading Viaduct and I said, “Hell, yeah.”

I used to work two blocks from the entrance to the viaduct and never had the chance – or the guts to go. Some of my favorite philly photographers have taken amazing shots up there and I finally got my chance.

Here are a few of my favorite selects from this day:

In the end, I had an amazing time exploring a part of the city I had never seen and I get to check another item off my Philly Bucket List.
