Sketchbook Saturdays presents . . . Worn Window

In recent years, it came out that it was Alice Walker‘s house. They now do tours and have taken better care of the house. Although it is rumored that Alice Walker despised living there and swore never to come back to Eatonton GA.

But I want to be clear – when I took and developed this photograph I had no such knowledge to influence me. I was solely a passer-by who saw beauty in an old worn house.

This is a print from Eatonton, GA of a window in an old abandoned house. I loved taking pictures of the way it aged and rotted and yet still stood firm.
